Benefits Account Technician
A. SUMMARYResponsible for a variety of administrative office functions, including providing administrative support to the department’s Director and Account Managers.
B. POSITION FUNCTIONS
- Maintain data in agency’s management systems
- Be proficient in Employee Navigator
- Update client information in agency’s management systems
- Gather renewals from insurance carriers and distribute to assigned account managers
- On a monthly basis, or as needed, prepare and distribute renewal reports to account managers
- Perform detailed work accurately, within established timeframe
- Assist in marketing with carriers
- Assist with the preparation for client presentations
- Assist with the preparation of Open Enrollment (OE) and employee communication material
- Assist with Open Enrollment audits
- Quote via online systems, as needed
- Work with and prioritize multiple tasks
- Maintain confidentiality of employee benefit records and reports
- Serve as a back-up for other jobs as necessary
- Perform other functions and duties as assigned by management

1. Must be able to work in a climate controlled, office environment
2. Must be an assertive self-starter, with the ability to influence others
3. Should exhibit effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication
4. Must be willing to travel as required
D. OTHER REQUIREMENTS
1. Must have all licenses, as required by the State Department of Insurance, to discuss and/or sell insurance in states where the agency functions
2. Ability to use personal computer, calculator, agency automation system, and proficiency in various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel

Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery - Physical Strength:
Sedentary work. Regularly spend long hours sitting and using office equipment and computers
Occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
